Patricia achieved a first class honours degree in Nutritional Science from CNELM, validated by Middlesex University and a distinction in CNELM’s Nutritional Therapy Practice Diploma. After qualifying as a Registered Nutritional Therapy Practitioner she initially set up her own practice in Hampshire. Whilst working with organisations within the local community, she became increasingly aware of the inequalities that exist around the access to and affordability of nutritious food and now focuses on public health nutrition. She is currently completing a MSc in Public Health Nutrition from the University of Southampton and has a keen interest in food security and epidemiology. Patricia has a BA (Hons) in History and prior to retraining in nutrition spent several years living and working overseas in the USA, China and Southeast Asia designing and delivering cultural briefing and language training programmes to individual and corporate clients. Upon her return to the UK she worked in consumer magazine publishing and was responsible for managing a team within the direct marketing department.
Patricia is a Module Leader on the BSc programme Level 4 Thinking Critically, Level 5 Nutrition in Practice and Level 5 Research Methods. In her role as Module Leader she is a marker and assessor and Contributing Lecturer. Patricia is also CNELM’s Learning Resources Manager and is a member of the Senior Academic Team.
