Dave qualified as a Social Worker in the mid 1980’s and worked in the social care field for 25 years.  Dave graduated with a Postgraduate Diploma awarded by Exeter University in 2003 in Therapeutic Child and Adolescent Care and Development.

Dave  is mainly responsible for developing and coordinating policies, processes and procedures and ensuring that the Centre complies with changing legal requirements for business administration, higher education and clinical practice.  Dave contributes social theory elements to the BSc (Hons) Nutritional Science Level 6 Health Culture Module.  Dave provides Group Work Practice sessions as required within the PNPD.  He has particular responsibility for the administration of the Academic Boards and the Practice Diploma Panels.  He ensures that online assignment submission portals are made available and will assist students to submit coursework in the event of technical difficultly or error.  Dave takes lead responsibility for processing Extension/Deferment requests made by students.  He is the lead Health and Safety Officer for CNELM.  Dave is also the Lead staff member for assessing Learning Need Support plans.  As Practice Supervisor Dave has a consultative and sometimes active role in helping students to achieve safe and competent practice within a training/learning setting. Dave is a member of the Senior Management & Senior Academic Teams.
