Kate started her career in healthcare and trained as a nurse and midwife and worked in the field for more than a decade. Kate became interested in food and nutrition whilst raising a young family and retrained to become a nutritional therapist. Shortly after Kate commenced her practice as a nutritional therapist supporting women’s health, fertility, pregnancy and children’s health particularly children within the learning disorder spectrum. At a similar time, Kate started her career as a lecturer, course tutor, course developer, clinic supervisor and course director for other Training Providers. In 2001 Kate opened CNELM with the Vision of developing a providing high quality courses for degree validation. The first degree validated by Middlesex University, London started in 2003. Over the course of her career Kate has authored many articles and authored Balancing Hormones Naturally in the 1990’s which was one of the first public-centred publications to discuss the potential impact of the environment on hormonal balance and has since contributed chapters to books aimed at professionals and acted as a Peer Reviewer for book publications. Kate was Founding Editor of the Nutrition Practitioner journal. She has hosted and spoken at several conferences. Kate completed an MSc in Nutritional Medicine at Surrey University in 2002. Kate is a Fellow of BANT, the Royal Society of Medicine and the Royal Society of Arts and is a Member of the Leadership Council.
