What our graduates say

  • Totally exceeded my expectations, I’m teaching which is something I have always wanted to do
  • Slowly! Many hurdles due to geographical location. Still hopeful & working towards practice; gaining connections also which will help
  • Started small and have developed – so am now running campaigns in schools , co-running nutrition retreats, doing a 6 monthly pop up restaurant and doing some corporate work.
  • Continued with an MSc in Reproduction & Development. Published book. Awaiting funding for PhD but if it doesn’t materialise then I’m open to the Universe!
  • Slowly but that’s a good thing
  • I have moved from simply being in practice, to now writing regular columns, getting involved on the radio, running health seminars and I am just about to start some corporate health work. I love this industry and I am very excited about the future.
  • I was known as the pilates/barre instructor, but my name seems to be popping up in relation to nutrition more and more. Never a moment to spare and sometimes I wish for more free time, but perhaps that will come after the MSc
  • I have mainly focused on education and training and coaching aspects found the nutrition model challenging and not always what a person needs
  • I have gone from being alone in a small practice to specialising and now running a thriving practice making a real difference in people’s lives. It’s great to be part of a community working alongside like-minded people
  • It is in my own hands to take it as far as I wish which is great
  • I got involved in a local inter disciplinary clinic where I still practice and I enjoy seeing clients there. I still have kids at home for now so don’t put in as much time marketing and networking as I may do in the future years. I have had success with writing for an online food and nutrition science publication where I earn regular income and was a great experience. It also gave me lots of published articles to go to other companies with. I have also been involved with CNELM on modules and supervision. I also worked voluntary for BANT for a year and for Nuffield health as a Nutritional Therapist which was good experience. I am currently focusing on pursuing my areas of interest and putting together a plant based nutrition course in my area
  • I started with practice but after a few years decided it was not for me. During the same time I took on some teaching and mentoring at CNELM and this has gradually built into a part-time role that I enjoy.
  • Couldn’t have had a better trajectory, thanks to linking up with a good clinic right at the start
  • Volunteer for BANT to understand the workings of the organisation. Worked for self and I’m slowly getting clients, went from none to some and now regularly get enquiries and clients. Worked part time at a gym to get experience in a commercial environment. Doing clinic supervision alongside this to keep on top of research and as I enjoy helping students. Now moving to do corporate work instead of gym work, while maintaining and growing own business and doing some supervision
  • I have always just seen a few clients a week, fitting them into my family life. As my kids grew up, I started doing Zest4Life which was more full time (a bit too busy!), and now I’ve gone back to doing one to ones but more of them. I like the work/life balance that I get as a Nutritional Therapist.
  • Initially it was very slow, but once marketing took off and got clients, now get regular client referrals
  • I have moved from all private practice to nutrition advising for a probiotics company
