Self Funding & Payment Options
Self-Funding
How do I pay my course fees?
- Payment for degree and clinical and coaching programmes will generally be payable as an annual tuition fee for each year of study, and the rest as monthly fees over an agreed period of time.
- Shorter courses are either paid in full, or monthly over an agreed period of time.
- Some students, particularly if living outside of the UK, may make regular lump sum payments in advance of each study block, rather than monthly payments.
- Many students with a UK Bank account pay by Direct Debit or by Standing Order.
- Students living outside of the UK mostly use Flywire to transfer fees.
- Debit card payments are also accepted.
- Credit card payments incur a 3% charge at the point of collection. Amex card payments are not accepted.
- A third-party agreement form is completed for students whose fees are paid by a third-party. The agreement form sets out the terms and conditions for the student and the fee payer.
- If Bursary Support is approved for degree and clinical programmes monthly fees are reduced. Students must be in a position to pay annual tuition fees.
What happens if I speed up, or slow down, my pace of study, or take a study break?
- If you speed up your pace of study your monthly fees would increase to finish at an earlier time. You may save money overall as this could reduce your annual tuition fees.
- If you slow down your pace of study your monthly fees would likely reduce. However, you may incur an additional annual tuition fee to cover a new full, or part year of study.
- If you pause your study for any reason you will be required to pay for any module you have started. Depending on the timing of your study break, you may incur an additional annual tuition fee, to cover a new full, or part year of study.
Can course fees increase after I start my studies?
- Once a student starts studies CNELM aims to maintain the price for the student for as long as possible.
- CNELM does reserve the right to apply inflationary increases, or to cover increased costs for access to external resources and services.
- Students that may have completed payments in advance of study, or prior to course completion, remain liable for fee increases, should they be applied.
What other costs are associated with study?
- The majority of your learning resources are accessed online including e-books and e-journals. Students may need to purchase some texts and research publications that are not available via the online learning resources students.
- Students on some courses will need to independently subscribe to access a software tool.

Please review our Prospectus for course fees or use the Download Tab on each course page for the course flyer and fees.
Please note that CNELM does not recommend that students make large lump sum payments, or pay for extensive programmes in full in advance of study. All fees once paid are non-refundable. Please review our Payment, Charges and Refund policy that also explains the few exceptions to the no-refund position.
