There are twelve modules in the Human Biology Foundation Course:
Module 1: The Cell, its Structures and Tissues plus an overview of the rest of the body systems
Module 2: The Digestive System
Module 3: The Liver
Module 4: The Cardiovascular System and Blood
Module 5: The Lymphatic and Immune Systems
Module 6: The Urinary System
Module 7: The Respiratory System
Module 8: The Integumentary System [Skin]
Module 9: The Musculo-Skeletal System
Module 10: The Nervous System
Module 11: The Endocrine System
Module 12: The Reproductive System
On receipt of application form and payment, you will be sent the following:
• The recommended course text book
• Online access to all 12 modules and questions
• Contact details for the course tutor
Each module includes:
• Relevant text book references
• Written short questions which are submitted to the tutor at the end of each module.
Tutor support is available throughout the course and assessments will be returned with marks and comments.
You will be awarded a Certificate on the successful completion of the Foundation Course.
Time Commitment
The Human Biology Foundation Course is expected to require approximately 120 hours to complete in total, the equivalent of 20 days at 6 hours per day. This includes reading and assignment time.
