Directors of CNELM & Senior Management

Kate_NeilKate Neil MSc (Nutritional Medicine) FBANT CNHC
Managing Director & Head of Quality Assurance

Kate is MD and Head of Quality Assurance and leads the Senior Management Team. With an early background in nursing and midwifery she retrained as a nutritional therapist. Kate opened the Centre in 2001 with the Vision of developing and providing high quality degree courses in nutrition with the first degree course starting in 2003 validated by Middlesex University. Prior to opening CNELM, Kate had developed, directed and taught nutritional therapy courses for other providers and ran a busy practice for 30 years specialising in women’s health and supporting parents and caregivers with children within the learning disorder spectrum. Kate authored Balancing Hormones Naturally in the 1990’s which was one of the first public-centred publications to discuss the potential impact of the environment on hormonal balance. She has contributed numerous public centred articles and has contributed chapters to books aimed at professionals. Kate has hosted and spoken at several conferences. Kate is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine and the Royal Society of Arts and is a Member of the Leadership Council.

Martin_NeilMartin Neil BSc MSc
Business Director

Prior to joining the nutrition industry in 1992 Martin was a Principal Systems and Control Engineer, designing safety instruments for the nuclear industry. For a decade, Martin led a not-for-profit nutritional service to practitioners and their clients. He worked closely with the first professional body for nutritional therapy to help establish Codes of Ethics & Practice regarding the use of nutritional supplements. Martin, along with our Finance Director, oversees the accounts and ensures the day to day maintenance of the Centre. Martin is a member of the Senior Management Team.

Dr James Neil BSc PhD
Principal and Director of Research

James graduated from the University of Birmingham with a BSc Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence in 1999, and was awarded a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Birmingham in 2004.  Prior to joining CNELM, James was an independent research consultant and worked in industry as a senior research scientist. James leads the Centre’s research programme, collaborating with other research institutions to develop computational and statistical techniques applicable to evidence based personalised nutrition. He oversees all research orientated modules on the BSc Nutritional Science and MSc Personalised Nutrition, leads the Research Supervisors, and teaches on these modules. James is a member of the Senior Management and Senior Academic Teams.

Chris Neil BSc (Hons) DipHE
Director of IT and Head of Student Recruitment

Chris completed a BSc in building and management from the University of Plymouth, and has a DipHE Nutrition Science. Following a short career in the building industry, Chris joined CNELM as student and member of staff. As well as directing IT development and online resources, Chris is responsible for interviewing most students for the courses, and supports students in designing their initial personal study plans. Most applicants will speak with Chris as part of the interview process, and he supports students until enrolment on a programme. Chris continues to review and enhance the functionality of the student learning environment and IT applications. Chris is a member of the Senior Management and Senior Academic Teams.

Simon Mann
Finance Director

Simon is Founding Director of ACS Accounting (Berkshire) Ltd. and is a registered member in practice of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. He has considerable experience working in senior financial management for large international companies. Simon provides business services to companies in Berkshire and acts as virtual financial director for the Centre. He contributes to our business module Nutrition Enterprise. Simon is a member of the Senior Management Team. 

Dr Michelle Barrow BSc (Hons) MSc, QTLS, NLP Practitioner INLPTA NLP Practitioner, DProf
Clinical Director & Academic Team Director, Programme Leader for BSc (Hons) Nutritional Science and Institution Link Tutor 

Dr. Michelle Barrow, BSc (Hons), MSc, QTLS, DProf, is the Academic Team Director and Clinical Director at CNELM. Michelle is inspired to support CNELM achieve their vision of leading the integration of personalised nutrition into healthcare services worldwide. She strives to develop the evidence base to support personalised nutrition practice through her academic work, research supervision, post-doctoral research, and publication. Michelle completed a Doctorate in Professional Studies (DProf) in 2019, titled “Leading transformation in Personalised Nutrition Practice”. Her doctoral research included the construction of clinical tools to enable the development of a new evidence base for personalised nutrition practice in obesity management. Michelle continues to work on the development of robust translational bioinformatics tools, using pathophysiological reasoning and systems biology approaches, as they are key to achieving evidence based personalised nutrition practice. Michelle thoroughly enjoys supporting students to achieve their aspirations and goals. Her passion comes from overcoming her own health issues using nutrition.  Her roles also include BSc (hons) Nutritional Science Programme Leader, Institution Link Tutor, Lecturer, co-Module Leader and Research Supervisor. 

Dave Lee CSS, PG Dip TCC&D
Centre Administrator & Practice Supervisor

Dave qualified as a Social Worker in the mid 1980’s and worked in the social care field for 25 years.  Dave graduated with a Postgraduate Diploma awarded by Exeter University in 2003 in Therapeutic Child and Adolescent Care and Development. Dave  is mainly responsible for developing and coordinating policies, processes and procedures and ensuring that the Centre complies with changing legal requirements for business administration, higher education and clinical practice.  Dave contributes social theory elements to the BSc (Hons) Nutritional Science Level 6 Health Culture Module.  Dave provides Group Work Practice sessions as required within the PNPD.  Dave has particular responsibility for the administration of the Academic Boards and the Practice Diploma Panels.  He ensures that online assignment submission portals are made available and will assist students to submit coursework in the event of technical difficultly or error.  Dave is the named Exam Officer for the Undergraduate exams and approves requests by students to take exams under alternate arrangements and liaises with Alternate Exam invigilation services/providers.  Dave takes lead responsibility for processing Extension/Deferment requests made by students.  He is the lead Health and Safety Officer for CNELM.  Dave is also the Lead staff member for assessing Learning Need Support plans.  He is the named Prevent duty Contact staff member for CNELM and is responsible for annual monitoring requirements, risk assessment and liaising with HEFCE. As Practice Supervisor Dave has a consultative and sometimes active role in helping students to achieve safe and competent practice within a training/learning setting. Dave is a member of the Senior Management & Senior Academic Teams.

Faye Hall BA BSc Certified Coach Trainer
Module Leader and Coach Trainer

Faye obtained a degree in politics at Sussex University during which time she developed a particular interest in the globalisation of the food industry, nutrition and health. She then worked in the catering industry for 15 years. After having a family, she decided to formalise her long standing interest in nutrition and health and obtained a first class honours degree in Nutritional Therapy at CNELM. Faye is a Certified NLP Trainer and Nutritional Therapist, and she combines these skills and runs a private practice as a Nutrition Coach, specialising in sports nutrition, coaching and weight management. Faye is Director of Professional standards & Membership Development for the UK & International health Coaching Association. Faye is Module Leader for Why Weight Practitioner.  

Janet Lakin BSc
Programme Leader CNELM Personalised Nutrition Practice Diploma (PNPD) and Clinic Manager

Before discovering nutrition, Janet’s previous working life was spent in marketing working for an international hotel company. Janet is a first class honours graduate of the BSc Hons Nutritional Therapy programme taught at CNELM. She also has a BSc in Business Studies. Janet formally co-directed a London based nutritional therapy company called Key Nutrition, which focused on seeing clients on a one to one basis, as well as working with schools, businesses and local charities. Janet is Programme Lead for the PNPD, Clinic Manager and Module Leader for Level 6 Personalised Supervised Consultations and Practice module on the PNPD programme. She is a member of the Senior Academic Team. 

Chris Rasey BA Certified Coach Trainer
Lead Coach Trainer

Chris studied sociology at Exeter University. After completing his degree, he worked as a Personnel and Training Officer in an engineering factory in Scotland. He later worked for the House of Fraser and Thorn EMI Computeraid as a Management Trainer and Consultant. Chris began working for himself in 1990, and since then has worked in this country and abroad as a Trainer, Developer, Coach and Consultant with clients in both the public and private sector. He is a Practitioner, Master Practitioner and Certified Trainer of NLP and is also qualified to use a variety of psychometric instruments. Chris has been working with CNELM since 2008. He continues to develop these modules with his team of Coach Trainers and Supporters; and generously shares his extensive experience with students and staff.  Chris is Lead Coach Trainer for Coaching modules from the PNPD and CNELM’s Why Weight Practitioner course. Chris contributes some lectures on relevant degree modules.

Fiona Ambrose BSc PGCHE
Programme Manager, Module Leader and Research Supervisor

Fiona graduated from CNELM in 2008 with a first class honours degree and ran a nutritional therapy practice for a few years. Prior to her nutritional training, Fiona was an accountant and worked for many years in the NHS, and in later years for a pharmaceutical company. Fiona has completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education to support her teaching role. Fiona in her role as Programme Manager for the BSc Hons Nutritional Science programme is also Module Leader for Level 6 Personalised Nutrition Interventions, Co-module Leader for Level 4 Public Health Nutrition,  and Co-module Leader for Level 6 Contemporary Issues in Food & Nutrition from the undergraduate BSc programme. Fiona is a Research Supervisor. She is a member of the Senior Academic Team. 

David Titman BSc MSc PGCE
Module Leader and Research Supervisor

Graduating in Food Science at the University of Nottingham, David spent nearly twenty years gaining a broad international experience in both the food industry and education before gaining an MSc in Personalised Nutrition at CNELM. David worked in various commercial and product development roles before specialising in converting consumer and market insights into successful food solutions and business strategies. During this time he worked with many major global food manufacturers and foodservice operators, including Weetabix, Pepsi Co, McDonald’s and McCormick. He continues to work as an independent consultant, developing and implementing innovation and nutrition strategies for progressive businesses. David is a qualified teacher and has taught GCSE Food Technology and Health and Social Care GNVQ. David is co-module Leader for Level 4 Public Health Nutrition, Module Leader for Level 5  Food Science & Safety and Co-module Leader for Level 6 Contemporary Issues in Food & Nutrition . David is also a  Research Supervisor and Tutor for the Level 3 Math’s Entry module. 

Michail Rizos BSc
Bioscience Entry Courses Manager and Module Leader

Michail holds a degree in Biomedical Science (Hons), and he is specialized mainly in the areas of Clinical Biochemistry and Medical Microbiology. He has six years’ experience as a Clinical Biochemist, five of them as a Laboratory Manager in Euromedica private hospital in Rhodes Island, Greece. Since 2015, he has been working with a private company providing NHS services, as a health coach and smoking cessation advisor. He has also run NHS health-check clinics across many areas throughout the UK. Michail has published research in neonatal blood grouping as well as in antibiotic resistance. Michail is currently Bioscience Entry Course (BEC) Manager and Tutor for most of the modules in this programme. Michail is  the Module Leader for Level 4 Nutritional Biochemistry, and he is a member of the Senior Academic Team. 

Indrani Saha BSc MSc
Programme Leader MSc and PG Diploma in Personalised Nutrition, Research Manager and Programme Manager for the MSc and PGDip Personalised Nutrition programmes

Indrani originally graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Accounting and Finance from The London School of Economics and Political Science, and a MSc in Finance from Manchester Business School. She previously worked as a Chartered Accountant at Ernst and Young, and as a financial analyst at the Economist Intelligence Unit (The Economist Group). Indrani completed a BSc (Hons) Nutritional Therapy degree at the University of Westminster School of Life Sciences where she was awarded a prize for her final year dissertation and a Research Bursary for her work on Coeliac disease and female infertility, which was subsequently published. Indrani in her role as Programme Manager and Research Manager is a Research Supervisor for the MSc programme. In her role as Research Manager she is Module Leader for L5 Research Methods and L6 Research Project. Indrani is Programme Leader for the MSc and PG Diploma in Personalised Nutrition. She is a member of the Senior Academic Team.

Mida Aslam
Education Assistant

Mida originally trained and worked as a Dental Nurse for 5 years before moving into administration and coordination with Siemens Healthcare. Mida joined CNELM as Education assistance in 2014.

Lara Boyd  BA BSc (Hons) mBANT regCNHC
Module Leader & Clinic Supervisor

Lara holds degrees from CNELM/Middlesex University and Glasgow Caledonian University and is a qualified Trainer and Assessor. She also holds a Neuro Linguistic Programming practitioner qualification.  An experienced coach and trainer, Lara has been lecturing and training since 1998.  Now, as a Registered Nutritional Therapy Practitioner Lara works with individuals in a variety of clinic settings in Edinburgh, Glasgow and online.  In addition to working with individual clients 1:1, she also works with organisations to provide bespoke programmes to individual employees and large staff groups. Lara is Module Leader for Level 5 Clinic and Coaching Skills Development on the PNPD programme and is also a Clinic Supervisor 

Ian Craig BSc MSc INLPTA NLP Practitioner

Ian is an exercise physiologist, nutritional therapist, NLP practitioner and an endurance coach. He was a competitive middle-distance runner for 20 years and is now a more leisurely runner and cyclist. Ian specialises in integrative sports nutrition, a fast-evolving discipline that considers both health and performance of an athlete from an integrative health perspective. He is the editor of Functional Sports Nutrition magazine, the leader of the IHCAN Sports Nutrition annual conference, and is the founder of the Centre for Integrative Sports Nutrition, which will launch post-graduate training in 2018. In Ian’s adopted home of South Africa, he runs a private nutritional therapy practice in Johannesburg and he recently published his first book (Wholesome Nutrition). Ian has supported CNELM over many years. Ian was a first class honours graduate of the BSc Hons Nutritional Therapy degree in 2006. Prior to Ian graduated with a first class degree in Physiology in Sports Science, followed by an an MSc in Exercise and Sport Science. When living in the UK he was a Module Leader on the BSc programme, Senior Clinical Supervisor and a Research Supervisor. Ian continues to support CNELM as a contributing lecturer to the postgraduate Personalised Sports Module. 

Bea Cutler BA BSc PGCHE NLP Practitioner
Clinic Supervisor

Bea originally graduated with a BA Hons in English Literature & Language and has held Editorial, Administrative and Secretarial positions. Beatrice graduated from CNELM with the BSc Hons Nutritional Therapy and was awarded the Lamberts Award for best undergraduate research project.  Bea was a practitioner for 8 years at Marlow Complementary Health Care, and has recently moved to South Wales, where she is busy building a new practice. Bea is a key contributor for the Clinic and Coaching Skills Development module on the PNPD and is a Clinical Supervisor for students completing the CNELM Personalised Nutrition Practice Diploma course. Bea led the prior Intermediate Nutritional Therapy Practice module for many years. Bea is  a Minute Taker for a number of Academic Board and Senior Meetings.

Esther Donoff BSc (Hons), MSc, mBANT, CNHC reg
Clinic Supervisor and 

Esther is a CNELM graduate, having attained her MSc in Personalised Nutrition and NTPD in 2017. Prior to her nutrition training, Esther worked in the pharmaceutical industry in clinical trial set-up. She has a BSc in Pharmacology from the University of Manchester. Esther runs her own nutritional therapy practice, specialising in cardiometabolic health, weight management and digestive health. She obtained her NLP Practitioner certificate and has done advanced NLP training for weight management. She is a Professional Member of BANT and registered with the CNHC. Esther is a Clinic Supervisor in the CNELM Student Training Clinic, a Contributing Lecturer and is Co-Module Leader for level 7 Personalised Nutrition Requirements.

Wendy Frost BA NLP Master Practitioner, Certified Coach Trainer
Coach Trainer 

Wendy graduated from Royal Holloway with a BA (Hons) in English Literature.  She was a mature student and often felt ill, until in the mid-1990s a nutrition consultant helped her find a solution.  Since then she has combined the enjoyment of working with mature students and the interest in nutrition, by working in various administrative roles within nutrition training and since 2006, with CNELM.  At CNELM, taking the Coaching Module as part of staff development started her in a new direction as a Coach and Certified Trainer.  She recently completed a Health Certification Training course in Holland. Wendy has been a regular contributor to the coaching courses at CNELM since 2009. She is part of the Coaching Support Team. 

Rachel Garnett  MSc, BA, NLP Practitioner
Professional Mentor

Rachel is a CNELM graduate, having attained her MSc in Personalised Nutrition in 2019 and achieved the NTPD with Distinction in 2020. She obtained her NLP Practitioner certificate in 2018 and works as an executive coach. She finds most rewarding her work with legal firms, combining her first-hand experience of the life of a solicitor (she is also a criminal solicitor) with the benefits that dietary education, coaching, and NLP can bring. Rachel offers a Professional Mentor service for final year students to explore career pathways. 

Anna Gruvstad-Melén Research Supervisor, Tutor and Marking Support

Anna completed her MSc in Applied Economics and Finance at Copenhagen Business School in 2005. After a successful accounting career for a large multinational shipping company in Denmark, Anna had a very personal introduction to nutrition. Suffering from ME/CFS during her first pregnancy she embarked on her own healing journey of which nutrition played a central role. She went on to gain an MSc in Personalised Nutrition from CNELM (with distinction) and was awarded a distinction for her dissertation “The impact of personalised nutrition on mitochondrial function in ME/CFS: A retrospective quantitative study”. Her findings were presented in a poster presentation at the Institute of Functional Medicine’s Annual International Conference 2020. Anna is currently opening her own nutritional therapy clinic and working on publishing two academic articles based on the findings of her dissertation. Since 2016 she is also a board member of NTEC and the organisation’s financial officer. Anna is a Research Supervisor and supports Level 7 Evidence Based Personalised Healthcare

Lillian Klein BSc (Hons), mBANT, CNHC reg
Clinic Supervisor and Lecturer

Lillian has a first class honours degree in Nutritional Science and a postgraduate diploma in Nutritional Therapy from CNELM. She is an experienced Nutritional Therapist practising from her clinic in Hampshire. She was the lead Nutritional Therapist for Nuffield Health for 6 years, running programs to support women’s health. Lillian has broad practice experience as a nutritional therapist. Her specialism is in providing nutritional support for individuals who present with breast cancer. Lillian is an active supporter of Yes to Life Integrative Cancer Care Charity (UK); and is a Nutritional Therapist for Victoria’s Promise, a charity that supports young women with cancer where she also provides educational nutrition talks and webinars as well as one to one consultations. Since qualifying as a nutritional therapist Lillian has undertaken further postgraduate training in her area of specialism and is a Member of the British Society of Integrative Oncology. She is a Professional Member of BANT and registered with the CNHC. Lillian is a Clinic Supervisor in the CNELM Student Training Clinic and is a Contributing Lecturer

Terry Owen-Jones  BSc PG Dip
Module Leader

Terry has a BSc (Hons) degree in Medical Biochemistry from University of Cape Town, South Africa and worked for several years in Cardiovascular Research.  She completed her Postgraduate Diploma in Personalized Nutrition at CNELM in 2015 and works in private clinical practice in Cape Town. Terry is Module Leader for Level 4 Applied Physiology, Co-Module Leader for Level 5 Applied Pathophysiological Reasoning from the undergraduate BSc programme  and is Module Leader for Level 7 Personalised Nutrition & Longevity from the postgraduate MSc/PG Dip programme.

Anna Papoutsa MSc, NLP Practitioner
Module Leader

Anna studied Computer Science in Greece. She worked as a Software Engineer and Designer managing software development in both the private and government sectors in Greece and the UAE. Being passionate about the significance of nutrition in health and disease, Anna studied Nutrition and achieved a first-class MSc degree in Personalised Nutrition from CNELM and validated by Middlesex University. She had previously completed training at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition as a Health Coach and certified in NeuroLinguistic Programming (NLP). Anna was running a Nutrition Education and Health Coaching practice in Cape Town until 2019 and since then is continuing the same work remotely with clients in Europe and South Africa having a special interest in chronic illness particularly in autoimmune disorders and cardiovascular disease. Anna is a co-Module Leader for the Level 5 Applied Pathophysiological Reasoning on the BSc programme and the Level 7 Personalised Nutrition and Chronic Illness on the MSc/PG Dip programme.


Nicola M Pearson RYT 500, Dip ION, BSc (Hons), MSc
Staff and Student Welfare Support

Nicola initially trained with the Institute for Optimum Nutrition (ION), prior to gaining a first-class honours degree in Nutritional Science with CNELM. She went on to study an MSc in Reproduction and Development at The University of Bristol, with her research focusing on sexual function, fertility and pregnancy outcomes within bariatric populations. She also has more than 800 hours of life-affirming yoga, breathwork and meditation training. Nicola has been operating her own nutrition and wellbeing practice since 2011, alongside working at DNA Health Integrative Medical Centres in the UAE (2014-2017) as part of multi-disciplinary functional medicine teams. Her research “Obesity and Male Fertility: A Mechanism Review” was presented at European Congress on Obesity (ECO) 2013. She chaired the Allied Health Professional Session at the Gulf Obesity Surgery Society (GOSS) Conference in 2014; and presented work at United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP21) in Paris 2015 as part of the #lessmeatlessheat global campaign. Nicola is co-author of “Nutrition for Gastric Band Wearers: A Practical Handbook”, published in 2015. She is currently researching “The Effects of Embodying Teachings from the Vijnana Bhairava Tantra, Through Various Meditation Practices”, with Dr. Lorin Roche. Nicola was a Research Supervisor for CNELM and continues to offer twice weekly online relaxation sessions for CNELM staff and students.

Chen Saat-Murphy MSc DipNT
Module Leader

Chen graduated with a Master of Science Degree in Personalised Nutrition from CNELM in 2015 and was awarded a distinction. Prior to that, she was qualified as a Nutritional Therapist from Institute of Health Sciences (IHS), Dublin in 2011. She founded her Galway-based, personalised nutrition practice, shortly after graduating from IHS, and sees clients on a one-to-one basis, while applying the Functional Medicine Model. Chen has a special interest in inflammatory diseases, women’s health, vitality, and mind-body-behaviour connection. In addition to her clinical practice, Chen was also a research assistant at the department of physiology in the National University of Ireland, Galway. Chen is a Module co-Leader for Personalised Nutrition and Chronic Illness on the MSc/PG Dip programme, and a Module Leader for Nutraceuticals & Pharmaceuticals on the BSc programme.

Elizabeth Scott-Moncrieff BSc MSc NTPD NLP Practitioner
Module Leader

Elizabeth is a graduate of the MSc in Personalised Nutrition and CNELM Nutritional Therapy Practice Diploma.  Using the principles of functional medicine, she works with her clients to increase emphasis on optimising health to enhance performance, minimise injury and extend years of activity within sport.  She has a particular focus on digestive health and chronic conditions, as well as an interest in epigenetics and addressing the impacts of lifestyle and environmental factors on gene expression.  Elizabeth is Module Leader for Personalised Sports Nutrition and Co-Module Leader for Personalised Nutrition Requirements. 

Dr Karin Seidler BSc MSc PhD
Head of Student Research, Module Leader

Karin finished her MSc degree in Chemistry (Biochemistry, Analytical and Bio-inorganic Chemistry) at the University of Vienna and completed her PhD in Analytical Chemistry in 2009. She completed her Post Doctorate in Nutrigenomics at the same institution (Department of Nutritional Sciences), which mainly focused on research and supervision of graduates. Karin became the group leader in Aquabionics and Water Technology at an interdisciplinary research institute. Karin completed her diplomas in Naturopathy and Nutritional Therapy from the College of Naturopathic Medicine. Her work experience includes a wide variety of teaching, (private) tutoring and consulting in mainstream academia, Steiner-Waldorf schools and for post graduate students. Karin also graduated from CNELM (with distinction) and her MSc dissertation focused on the role of intermittent fasting in cognitive performance (targeting BDNF as key mediator in synaptic plasticity and neurogenesis to optimise brain health). Karin is Head of Student Research and is a co-module leader for the BSc Research Project, the MSc Research dissertation and Evidence Based Personalised Healthcare and is module leader for the level 6 Health Culture BSc module.  Karin contributes lectures on the BSc and MSc programmes, and is a Research Supervisor and is a member of the Senior Academic Team. 

Tiffany Smith 
Module Leader

Since 2000 Tiffany has been a hotelier and restaurateur with her husband in France, initially in the Dordogne and more recently in the French Pyrenees near Perpignan. She has always had an interest in food and health but discovered that the 2 could be combined in 2014 when she embarked upon her studies concurrently to running the restaurant. She graduated from the BSc (Hons) Nutritional Science in 2019 and the NTPD in 2020 and on the way fell in love with academia and the way education is delivered over distance. She would like a portfolio career and has plans to set up a practice in her village in France which is a thermal spa town where people come for 3 week ‘cures’ mainly for rheumatic and respiratory ailments. She want to focus on delivering the best quality nutrition advice and protocols for groups of people suffering from the same ailments. Tiffany is set up to launch her own practice which has been delayed due to COVID-19. Tiffany is Module Leader for the Coaching in Personalised Nutrition Practice module from the PNPD programme and Nutrition Enterprise from the BSc and PNPD programmes.

Coriander graduated with a first class BSc Hons in Nutritional Therapy from CNELM in 2013, after starting her career as a chef and restaurant manager. She currently works with Brainstorm Health, a leading Nutritional Therapy and Functional Medicine clinic specialising in children and young adults with autism, PANDAS and PANS. She has also worked as a nutritional journalist and editor for a leading international publisher on food ingredients and product development. Coriander edits the student newsletter the ‘Nutritional Supplement’ that both students and staff contribute to. Coriander identifies and writes content for CNELM’s Facebook and Twitter pages. She provides students with Support Services in a pastoral capacity. Coriander is a member of the Senior Academic Team.

Patricia Treseder-Griffin BA BSc (Hons)
Learning Resources Manager and Module Leader

Patricia achieved a first class honours degree in Nutritional Science from CNELM, validated by Middlesex University and a distinction in CNELM’s Nutritional Therapy Practice Diploma.  She holds a Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) practitioner qualification and currently practices as a registered Nutritional Therapist in Hampshire.  Patricia has a BA (Hons) in History and prior to retraining in nutrition spent several years living and working overseas in the USA, China and Southeast Asia designing and delivering cultural briefing and language training programmes to individual and corporate clients.  Upon her return to the UK she worked in consumer magazine publishing and was responsible for managing a team within the direct marketing department. Patricia is Module Leader for Level 4 Thinking Critically, Module Leader for Level 5 Nutrition in Practice and Research Methods from the undergraduate BSc programme, and is a member of the Senior Academic Team

CNELM is a collaborative partner of Middlesex University (MDX). The undergraduate and postgraduate courses we teach are validated and  quality  assured by MDX. You will receive an MDX award on successful completion and be invited to attend a graduation ceremony at their campus.

The NTEC accredits courses for nutritional therapy. The BSc (Hons) Nutritional Science and the MSc/PG Dip in Personalised Nutrition combined with CNELM’s Personalised Nutrition Practice Diploma (PNPD) are accredited by NTEC.

The CNHC is the voluntary regulator for complementary therapists including Nutritional Therapists. Following successful completion of one of our accredited routes to nutritional therapy practice you will be eligible to apply to register with CNHC as a Nutritional Therapist.

BANT is a professional body for Nutritional Therapists that have completed NTEC accredited courses, or have demonstrated having met the NTEC Core Curriculum and National Occupational Standards set by Skills for Health for nutritional therapy. Practitioner members of BANT are required to register with the CNHC.

The Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT) has accredited CNELM’s Dietary Educator Certificate. On successful completion of this course you will be eligible to apply to register as a Dietary Educator with the FHT.

Students that meet verification standards for the ‘NLP Practitioner Certificate’ can apply to register with the Association for Neurolinguistic Programming ANLP.

Students registered with Qualifi that meet the outcomes of the Personalised Nutrition Practice Diploma (PNPD) Course assessed up to Level 6 will receive a Qualifi Endorsed Certificate. Qualifi is a recognised UK awarding organisation regulated in England by the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual).
